A few weeks ago I spent the afternoon at Usk Reservoir. Turned out to be the last day pre current lockdown . Fuck knows when I will be able to travel non essentially past the county line again. . After my visit to Gwern - Wyddog I made my way back down to the road walking north east . Cwm Henwen (SN82962929) about a mile away . The stone is 1.5 metres high not unlike a boundary marker from a distance .On closer inspection I think it more likely to be the rump of a larger stone . The sacred twin peaks of Nant Du and Pen y Fan are in clear view looking north east .
Pentre - Penderyn - Heol Senni ...
Out on the road bike last week 100 kms ride was a very enjoyable day out .
