Gwern-Wyddog (Grid RefSN83322835)

Having been spending most of my free time on the road bike all other activity was put on the back burner for a while . Earlier this week my other half and I drove to Usk Reservoir .I wanted to see two standing stones , been meaning to visit there for what seems like ages . This part of the Brecon national park is full of interesting ancient monuments . Being my first time over there I didn't venture too far from the muddy banks . Gwern-Wyddog is less than a mile from the rear of the car park which was handy . Short walk up a steep bank . Took a few photos at the top . The area around the reservoir is  spectacular. Dramatic views in every direction the Black Mountain range is the most striking . The stone is very easy to locate just go over a gate into the next field straight across you can't really miss the seven foot high monolith .
